Resumen:
Nowadays, students are very immersed in new technologies, so the teaching methods that are
being implemented in most schools are not adapted to today's students. In this work we are
going to analyse the didactic programme of the English department of the I.E.S. Botànic
Cavanilles secondary school. The aim of this analysis is to check if they adjust their classes
according to the Spanish education law and if they apply active methodologies for this new
way of teaching. Furthermore, in this work we propose an example of a Didactic Unit with the aim of improving what has been analysed in the didactic programme mentioned above. In
conclusion, there is a lot of work to be done to improve the education of our students, but with research and initiative everything is possible.
